Locus Sonus

Locus Sonus is a streaming platform where you can stream from your phone. This project asks for people to stream their environments, and all active streams can be selected on a world map. I used LocusCast on my phone to stream my environment.

I enjoyed using this streaming option, hearing different noises from around the world. Unfortunately, I am unable to stream now, despite it working in the past but luckily I can still use the software. Even though I won’t be using this service for my project, I might use it for a later one.

Other mobiles software’s such as Izicast and Coolmic are similar to LocusCast. Izicast allows for the stream to be adjusted and monitored more easily. Coolmic is extremely similar to LocusCast except its on android.
