Zimoun
Zimoun is a sound artist based in Bern, Switzerland. Creating simple and architectural sound installations, generally using a large amount of small sound creating devices. Using simple materials such as cardboard and wood on display normally controlled with motors, showing off its simplicity. All their work has an extremely thick texture and inspired me for this project.
His piece in Le Centquatre, Paris, France 2017 features a large scale amount of cardboard boxes being hit with a cotton ball controlled with a motor.
I loved this piece, from the looks to the sonic texture. This large sound reminded me of experiments I’ve made with interference/noise in the past and inspired my spatialisation piece.
