Minilogue (Synthestra)
In my composition, one of the synths i will be using is the minilogue. Its the only polyphonic synth i am using, because of this i wanted to use it to create large, underlying textures allowing other parts to play on top.
I went through all the modes and applied Valhalla supermassive reverb to all of them. I chose my favourite 4 and played with the cutoff for some of them.
my favourites are the 2nd and 3rd, but I prefer the 2nd due to calming, low tone which personally resonated with me. The 3rd I enjoy as well, having more vocal-like sounds, but think it’s too noisy and will take over the piece.
This setting is called “Foggy Morn”, playing the stock sequencer. When the cutoff is at 10 o’clock, it cuts out the high frequencies and only keeps the lows/mids, which is perfect in my context.
