Preparing a prototype

I have started thinking of how this project would work and how it might look. I think the best course of action is to make a scaled-down prototype. For the deadline, I would like a fully functional prototype which can be used to understand my project. But for now, I need to develop multiple parts at a time.

Firstly, I need to figure out the electronics. Luckily this is pretty simple requiring power, a switch and a motor. For a basic prototype, I will get a battery pack, switch and motor just to see if it works, and if not, why? If this works, I would like to try adding keys to activate the switch and see what obstacles arise.

Secondly, I will need to figure out the string arrangement. How are they going to be tuned and tightened? What shape is the container going to be? Is it based on anything? Until I figure this out, I won’t be able to make it. Once this is done, I will make a prototype of maybe 2 strings to see how it works.

Finally, once both these prototypes are done ill put them together, making the final prototype.

On a side note, I need to develop a name for this project. Maybe something around drones, koto or motors?

Looking into electronics, I don’t need anything complicated. All I need is a battery box, a switch and a motor. I will need to look more into what the perfect motor for this project would be, which is harder than I first thought because of how many motors there are. For now, and to experiment more with this project, I got these parts from ThePiHut and ill start experimenting once these arrive.
