Further designing of initial ideas

Inspired by my previous ideas of a tensegrity instrument and an instrument inspired by Sami Elu.

While I like this idea as an instrument, I think it works much better as a sculpture as this currently feels like a dead end. As a sculpture, on the other hand, I feel like it would be extremely effective and unique.

Not too sure if strings can be resonated by a surface transducer, which i feel will have to be tested. If not, then another exciter will have to be thought of. I should look into other ways of exciting the strings. One interesting way is this video below, Showcasing an interesting sound sculpture that uses a ping pong ball and motors to rotate the sculpture which excites the strings inside.

I like the prospects of this idea already but I need to look into Cristal Baschet’s cones, how they work and how to make them.
